I am looking for a Drummer, Bass player, Lead Guitar player, and (possibly) a Pedal Steel player to form a 4-5 piece touring Americana band. Must be excellent at your craft, willing to practice 2-3 times a week, willing to tour often, and be an easy person to get along with. Brownie points if you can sing harmonies and/or you bring more than just you musical skills to the table..i.e. have a practice space, nice van, etc...
“People tell me I’m a drifter
Boy, You need to settle down
Go out and find yourself a woman
She’ll keep your feet on the ground
But I’m livin’ free and easy
Nobody takin’ that away
I'll show her loving in the night time
But I’ll be gone the next day” - Quote from Lucas’ first single, ‘Free And Easy’
When Lucas was only 19 years old, he decided to drop out of the University he was attending in Waxahachie, Texas and hit the road on a journey of self-discovery.
He hitchhiked around country with only his acoustic guitar and a few pair of clothes stuffed in his backpack. He made money for food( and on rare occasion, a cheap motel room) by busking with his original songs on the streets of American cities. He traveled to New Orleans, Minneapolis, Seattle, and many more places taking in the diverse American scenery, writing songs, and performing them on famous music streets like Beale St. in New Orleans, and Broadway in Nashville, TN.
The incredible response he received made Lucas stop in his tracks and consider making music his career. He said," I didn't expect people in California, Minnesota, and Washington State to enjoy my brand of music. But, I saw that with good music and an open heart, I can carve out a niche for myself and live a really good life doing this. That's when I decided to go home on and put together a plan to make music the object of my devotion".
Recently, Lucas has taken the biggest leap of his musical career to date and relocated from his home town of Haworth, Oklahoma to Music City - Nashville,TN.
Lucas is currently in the process of putting together his first studio album, and laying the foundations of what it takes to make it in the ever changing landscape of today’s music business.
In the spring/summer of 2018, he will be an opening act for country super-star, John Micheal Montgomery for a 30 date tour as an indie artist represented by Go Time Records out of Franklin, TN.
Lucas Dalton Ebert is an Americana Singer-Songwriter. He was born in Texarkana, TX on May 17th, 1989 and raised in the small town of Union Grove, Oklahoma. He comes from a family of musicians, ranging from country to classical but, his families musical skill originates from their involvement in their local church.
His intriguing combination of "Southern Influenced" folk sounds is caught somewhere between the gut wrenching tenderness of Amos Lee, and the searing vocal power of Chris Stapleton.
Lucas’ father, Titus Ebert, was an acclaimed country & western songwriter and entertainer who was signed by Mae Axton's indie Label, Doorman Records out of Nashville, TN. Titus was well on his way to the national spotlight before his life was cut short by a tragic car accident when Lucas was only 18 months old. It’s this shadow of truth has developed Lucas' love for country music his drive to be the best at what he does.
