I am a 17 year old senior at Kingwood High School in Kingwood Texas. I am a guitar player, saxophonist, drummer, bassist, pianist, singer, freelance musician, touring musician, and musical director.

In July of 2017, I was selected as one of 9 guitarists to participate in the “School of Rock Continental tour-Midwest”. I traveled with a group of 31 young musicians(ages 14-18), each individually selected from their own School of Rock locations around the country, traveling through the Midwestern United States. Over the course of an 11 day tour, the group of students including myself performed each night in cities such as Dallas Tx, St. Louis Missouri, Little Rock Arkansas, Nashville Tennessee, Detroit Michigan, and Chicago Illinois. We performed at large venues each night such as “The House of Blues, Dallas Tx” throughout the 11 day tour.

In late October of 2019 I was given the role of musical director of the Second Students, Wednesday night LIVE, Worship band of Second Baptist Church, North Campus in Kingwood Tx. After already serving 4 years as the lead guitarist in this group, I was now given to the opportunity to help run, direct, and facilitate the band during each Wednesday night service in the church at just 17 years of age.

In November of 2019, I successfully created, facilitated, and directed a student-led high school jazz band, featuring students of the Kingwood High School Marching Band. The band was first created in late November of 2019, and later went on to compete in the Texas UIL solo and ensemble competition In February of 2020. The jazz band, consisting of 21 students including myself, received all 1 ratings from all judges during the competition.

As a Sophomore in high school, I was first chair tenor saxophonist for the top band(wind ensemble) of the Kingwood Mighty Mustang Military Marching Band(KM4B). Kingwood High School is a 6A high school with a band program 230+ total enrolled students. I maintained the first chair wind ensemble position in the band for 3 consecutive years(sophomore, junior, and senior year). Through the years 2018-20, I have competed in the Texas UIL solo and ensemble competition and have received all ones on both solos and ensembles consecutively during all 3 years. In 2018 and 2019, I competed in the Texas UIL state solo and ensemble competition at UT in Austin, receiving a 3 rating in 2018 and 2 rating in 2019 by competition judges. I was also scheduled to complete in the state competition at UT of Austin again this year in 2020 but the competition was cancelled due to Covid-19.
