Hi! I'm Leo and moved to DC in the pandemic. I've taught myself rock and rhythm guitar and am classically (and to some extent jazzically) trained in trumpet and piano. Although I don't practice the latter two as much anymore, I still love playing the trumpet every few weeks.
Looking to join a rock/ punk band and hone my guitar skills with some other peeps in the DC area. I've also developed many covers and written a few original songs, one of which I've posted on be and the other I performed at an open mic at the Newport Folk festival, so I'm also interested in developing those and writing more songs with a fun group.

Influences
My favorite artists range from Outkast to Tchaikovsky, but in terms of the music I have the most fun playing and developing, I'm really into the old punk rockers like the Ramones, Joan Jett, Bad Brains, etc. Also rock like the Beatles, Letters to Cleo, Jill Scott, and more alternative influences like They Might Be Giants and Tank and the Bangas.
