We are a jazz trio with myself, the leader being the longest continuous member. We are seeking a solid bass player who plays upright and possibly also bass guitar. Repertoire includes jazz standards, great American Songbook, pop, and originals.
We gig very selectively as we both have other non-musical professions. We are driven by our passion to play. We seek a professional calibre player preferably in a similar situation with pro gear who like us dreams of a day when they might do this full time but it just isn't yet.
We would like someone who has a love and experience with this kind of music and has been steeped in jazz, rather than someone "who can play anything."
