Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Keyboard.

I'm a bass player that would like to find a country based cover band (danceable country covers, the usual popular party dance and line dance songs, a little rock thrown in as needed depending on the gig) or other like minded musicians.

The key word here is 'cover' band. I prefer bands that play the songs like the original as much as possible. I also prefer bands that have enough players to cover the chosen songs, whether it's the actual instruments or keys/sequences, preferably with both male and female vocal front. I'm not a 3 or 4 piece band kind of guy. Nothing against 3 or 4 piece players, or players who are capable of improvising and making the songs their own, that's an expertise all on it's own, just not what I'm looking to do. A band that plays mostly relatively current and upbeat country and the needed associated dance/party songs is where I'd prefer to be. I still enjoy playing some classic rock but spent all the years I care to spend playing that as the foundation of the band.

I'm not a lead vocalist, but can do backups.

I'm a family guy with a full time job, so playing out 2-4 times a month is about all I can do. I want to get out and play for the enjoyment and some extra income, but still have a life.

I'm open to a startup, but don't have PA gear or practice space. Let me know if any of this is along the lines of what you're thinking. No longer have a premier subscription so I can't contact you, but use my screen name at ya ho o and let me know if any of this is along the lines of what you want to do.
