Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
I'm a bass player that would like to find a country based dance/party/variety cover band (danceable country covers, the usual popular party dance and line dance songs, a little rock thrown in more or less as needed depending on the gig) or other like minded experienced musicians that may want to put something like this together. I'm not a lead vocalist but can do backups and harmonies.
The key word here is 'cover' band. I prefer bands that play the songs like the original as much as possible without adding elements to the song that aren't there. I also prefer bands that have enough players to cover the chosen songs, whether it's the actual instruments or keys/sequences, preferably with both male and female vocal front.
I'm a family guy with a full time job, so playing out 2-4 times a month is about all I can do. I want to get out and play for the enjoyment and some extra income, but still have a life.
I'm open to a startup of experienced players. If everyone has done this before and is willing to do their homework, it wouldn't take long to get up and running. I have a PA system (digital mixer, powered mains and powered subs) and an in ear system (transmitters/body packs), the goal would be everyone in ears and no floor monitors. I also have some practice PA gear, but don't have a practice space, so unless someone has space we'd be looking at renting a space.
