I'm new to this band stuff...I'm pretty much a novice but am motivated to improve and really want to jam with other people and perhas form a band from that.
I've played acoustic guitar for about 3-4 years and have taken some private lessons and a basic college course. I am not great but I'd say, and intermediate player.
I played cello since the age of 9, I have neglected it a bit in the past several years but I've gotten really into it lately and I'd say I can still play pretty decently. That is actually the instrument I'd be most happpy to play, if any band wants a bit of cello in there to fill out the sound on some songs or recordings. Plenty of rock band have cello somewhere in their music and I think it sounds great!
I have written some lyrics, some put to chords. I am not a star singer, not one of those really vocally talented people, but I can sing pretty well and feel that attitude is what really makes a good vocalist in a band. I have never really sang in front of an audience by myself so maybe I'm not ready to actually be a lead singer...
