ABOUT

I'm looking for a few different possibilities, so please read all of this description. I'm really just trying to get some experience singing with a band, and various genres. My first love, however, is singing Celtic music, Loreena McKennitt, songs from "Women of Ireland: A Woman's Voice", even Enya, and the uniqueness that is only Kate Bush. That should give you an idea of my vocal range - I have a very pretty soprano voice, so if you're a group needing a female vocalist to sing Celtic music I'd be a wonderful addition to your group. I'm also interested in other genres. Metal opera would be ideal, though finding that may be difficult. Realistically, any band looking for a female voice to pull off the really pretty stuff, I'm your gal :) I took voice lessons briefly in order to polish up on Ave Maria which I sang accompanied by 2 violinists from the NC Symphony at a wedding in May 2006. I didn't have the time to pursue anything more at that time. I'll do classical voice, as an occasional thing, but it's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking to explore various genres and if I find perhaps a Celtic group and a rock/metal band to jam and perform with, great! I just want to get out there and sing!

Influences

Loreena McKennitt, and virtually any singer out there who has a pretty soprano voice. (See above.) I listen to just about everything, and sing along to whatever's on. I've sung in choirs off and on for years, been in musicals as a teen, and was part of a little known singing quartet for a while a few years ago. Other influences include Classical piano lessons and performances from age 7 through college, though I'm not well practiced anymore. (I'm not really looking for a keyboard/piano gig).

EQUIPMENT

Casio "workstation" keyboard - it's in the car so I don't know the model number off the top of my head :) I'll add that later. No other equipment.
