Magen Miller is a local vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and an active, published composer residing in the North Dallas area. Magen also teaches private piano and violin lessons in the Dallas area and performs fiddle, piano, and percussion with the World Music Ensemble, directed by Jamal Mohammed at Southern Methodist University.

Magen began her piano studies when she was five years old and has primarily studied with Priscilla Long and Alfred Mouledous. Her interest in the fiddle started during her time as a student at SMU, and has since become her main focus in music. For composition, Magen has studied with Dr. Kevin Hanlon, Dr. Robert Frank, and Simon Sargon of SMU. In 2005, Magen won the William Gillock Memorial Award for her original piano compositions. Magen received her Bachelorâ??s Degree in Music Composition at the Meadows School of the Arts in May 2010. As a composer, she has recently been commissioned to write for the Georgia State University Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Robert J. Ambrose in Atlanta, Georgia.
