I think my ideal world would be playing 1-2 shows per month with a weekly rehearsal. Shows would easily take priority on nights where they occur. I work a 9-5 and have dogs, so touring for longer than a couple weeks once or twice a year would be difficult, but I am open to that level of travel if it works out.
I tend to like pop/melodic stuff in the Indie/Punk/Rock/Surf realm, but I'm open to playing other styles too.
I've been playing a long time, but I put 5 years experience because I'd say I'm a solid intermediate/advanced on guitar and intermediate on bass. I've been in a few pop-punk bands over the years where I played live shows as the lead or only guitarist, and I've played bass in a blues rock band.
I've never sung in a live show, so I'm not very experienced there, but doing vocals is part of my music development goals and I'm continuing to take lessons to make improvement there.
My vocal range is low. I can sing with Ben Gibbard, Billy Corgan, and Billy Joe Armstrong comfortably.
My main weakness is my ear, which I'm actively working on. My knowledge of theory is pretty strong for the genres I have experience with.
