ABOUT

Hi! I'm Margaret, a Massachusetts-based vocalist whose repertoire ranges from opera to show tunes and from jazz standards to folk covers (especially Irish/Celtic). I am seeking opportunities to record music and to collaborate with other artists. While my background is mostly in classical music, I'm especially interested in branching into the folk, Americana, alternative, jazz, blues, and Broadway genres. I currently sing covers but would love to work with a songwriter.

I'm open to singing at open mics, cabarets, weddings, funerals, worship services, and other gigs in the Greater Boston area.

My Background:
I've studied solo classical vocal performance intensively for eight years as both a soprano and a mezzo soprano. My amateur theater/opera performance credits include Les Miserables (Cosette), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and La Belle Helene (ensemble). I enjoy cantoring and have sung at several Catholic parishes in NH and MA. I was recently selected as a finalist in the nation-wide Classical Singer contest in the University age group.

I'm comfortable singing in Italian, Latin, French, and Spanish. I've also sung in Russian and German.
