ABOUT

Marilyn is a vocalist living and working in the L.A. area. Marilyn has been singing ever since she can remember. Her biggest inspiration in becoming a performer came after seeing Jessye Norman. Ms. Norman had the audience breathless and on the edge of their seats with only her voice and the piano to accompany her, and that has become a life long goal.

She received a BA in Performing Arts from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. Primarily a singer, Marilyn has performed as Josephine in KDEN’s production of H.M.S. Pinafore, as a member of the Showcase Singers who sang the west coast premier of Karl Jenkins Requiem, and has performed twice at Carnegie Hall. She can be found performing in and around Los Angeles. Marilyn is also a cantor who has previously ministered at St. Joseph’s in Hilo, HI and is now one of the regular subs at St. Nicholas of Myra in Encino.
