Keyboardist needed for R&B , Funk, Soul , Disco band.
Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Commodores, James Brown, Rick James , Parliament , Tower of power , etc.
Need someone with ability to cover keyboard parts and horn lines . Whatever part is the more important / dominant/ signature part of the song.
Minimal rehearsals so homework and prep is mandatory . We're not interested in someone learning a song from scratch at rehearsal . Looking to get out and gigging ASAP . The ability to solo and improv is a plus. We want to take the existing songs and be able to extend and jam on them. Being able to replicate the original recording is not our goal.
We are looking to play out 2-3 times a month. Gigs will be statewide and possibly beyond. Please be available for this type of commitment and have the ability to not rehearse after the band is up and running and in gig mode but still be prepared at gigs. We would most likely have a rehearsal if new material would be added .
Hopefully in the future we would like to add real horns and multiple vocalist but to start out we want to go "lean and mean" to get out and gigging ASAP.
We have lead vocal , bass , drums and guitar already in place with a few rehearsals under our belt. We just need a keyboard player to round out the sound.
Rehearsal are located in the Waterbury area . We have free rehearsal space. We would be willing to alternate locations for someone if they can provide a similar/equally equipped space .
