I had a wedding band in DC for 25 years ... Sixpence. We go top dollar and played all the high end weddings and bar mitzvahs. I played lots of keyboards, and was the backbone of the band. I don't sing. Don't ask me. We did about 80 gigs per year. Mostly the same musicians the entire time. Later I played keys in an essentially Tower of Power Tribute band, plus other songs with heavy horns, EFW, BST, Chase, Motown, Average White Band, Ides of March, Edgar Winter, Chicago, and a bunch of regular dance music. It was a 12 piece bar band, made no money but it didn't matter. Great musicians. Now I'd just like to find a home with a local band, (I live in Baltimore), playing a few gigs month, which will probably morph into more. Also, I'm a great accompainist for a vocalist. I can play solo jazz piano, cocktail piano, etc. I read very well. if you have charts all the better. If not, no worries. Lately I'm thinking I'd love to do a Spanish Pop band - thinking covers of the likes of Pable Alboran, etc.
