ABOUT
My gig rig now consists of a djembe, congas, and bongos, with a crash cymbal and hi-hat. I use the djembe as a kick drum and snare, using my left hand for a kick sound and a brushes for a snare tone. The conga provides whatever extra tone is called for on any particular tune - I use hands and/or sticks on the conga. Together the kit sounds like a small hybridized drum kit, but it covers a LOT of ground. I've played in all sorts of situations, from cover rock to acoustic to jazz, more genres than I was able to list earlier.
