ABOUT

Ok when I say practice three times a week that is me personally, not what I expect a band to do! I just want that to be known.

Also, I am available morinings and late night during the week and nights on the weekend!

Ok, I really don;t care about making it big or being cool. I just want to music that is real, that is expressive, that has motion and that has life. That does not mean that it has to be happy upbeat ska or something, most of the stuff I play and listen to tends to be sad anyway.

I just want to something open and different, maybe even experimental. I am open to almost all genres, as far as things go. I just don't want to be part of a thing where it about killer riffs or being technical wizards. I just want to play good true music with some depth and feeling.
Bottom line, is that I want to make music where we dare to be vulnerable when making it, a music with out barriers a music that is free!

I hope I don't sound too down. Um about me personally, I am a follower of Christ meaning I try to value compassion over sacrifice and judgement of people. So I am open to many different things when it comes to music, the only one I am not open to is like anti-religious music...if that makes sense, so I won't be in a slayer coverband; however, I am still open to playing with ANYONE, just as long as it is a true expression.

After that, if for some reason my message descrition sounds arrogant or to "cool" let me know so I can change because I definitely don't want to turn anyone off.

I have been playing bass for the last ten years and I have been playing guitar not quite as long, but I have been in rock bands ranging from just straight up rock to Death Metal and I used to be in a alt-country band.

If you're interested in jamming out, just let me know and we will go from there and see if it is a worth while adventure.

Influences

Well, pretty much everything anymore. Um, I have many influences I guess, but my main influence is what I am trying to express in a song. What I think sounds and feels good. Um, anything that I feel has real emotion behind it.

Life, love, peace, despair, depression, searching, paradoxes, hope, God, etc. And everyone I have had the blessing of jamming and playing with.

Ok besides trying to be artsy here is some other influences...

Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Clutch, The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine, Andrew Bird, Black Flag, Old Metallica, Portishead, Les Claypool, Wilco, Clutch, Ellen Allien, Sasha Funke, Black Sabbath, Blonde Redhead, The Spa Channel on Sirius, Trentemoller, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan (to an extent), I guess I will say Ryan Adams, St. Vincent, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Smashing Pumpkins, Megadeth, Paul Van Dyk, etc.

EQUIPMENT

A bass, a really loud amp and an acoustic guitar.
