The Bizness + Band in Norwood, MA

ABOUT

The Bizness has been in business (in one form or another) for at least 17 years and we're looking for some new blood as we are now in the hunt for a bass player. We're disappointed but understand that sometimes life gets in the way of fun.

We're a little bit different. . .yeah, I'm sure you've heard that one before, but there are two reasons.

A lot of musicians are looking to promote their own musical brand first, and whatever projects they're in become vehicles for that. That's cool, it's just not what we're looking for. We're a band in more of an old school sense. We operate as a democracy, we like being part of something bigger, pushing and challenging each other to improve. We like hanging out; playing Frisbee and having BBQs in the parking lot, listening to and arguing about music, going to see other bands together etc.

Also, our song choices are a little different. Everything we do has a rock attitude and we get as heavy as Killing in the Name, and War Pigs. But we play stuff as varied as Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, The Stray Cats, Talking Heads, Grateful Dead and Van Halen to name a few.

We're looking for someone who can commit to practice in Norwood every Tuesday night and occasional Friday nights (about 1x/month). You have to be willing to put the time in at practice and on your own to learn the songs.
