I'm a bassist that mixes the different styles that I have learned into my own feel. Like some of my favorite bassists I feel that the bass is no more a back ground instrument than an electric guitar that said I don't believe in over playing the band with volume or runs all the time, on the contrary I believe that the bass line in itself is the foundation of the band and its music but when the time comes and the mood is just right in the song the bass will can shine. That's how I play.
