ONE WOMAN PRODUCTION REVIVES THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF PHYLLIS HYMAN
Milwaukee, WI ...Known for her emotive, jazzy styling’s melded perfectly into her memorable introduction by Norman Conyers' arrangement of the Stylistics "Betcha by Golly Wow" and her many other favorites such as "You Know How to Love Me” and her well acclaimed run in Broadway’s "Sophisticated Ladies". Phyllis Hyman will return to the stage once more; not in person but as characterized in the one woman production entitled "PRIME OF MY LIFE" featuring the talents of vocalist, writer and actress Marrian Efua.
"Prime of My Life" written and performed by Marrian Efua takes audience members on an intimate conversational dialogue masterfully interwoven with the music we all love; as " Phyllis" tells her story. For a complete schedule of the production please visit http://primeofmylife.eventbrite.com .
Marrian Efua is a respected vocalist and actress that brings the memory of Hyman to life. Displaying her multifaceted talents to make this production most memorable.
A portion of the proceeds from all -opening night performances will be donated to local mental health agencies since Ms. Hyman was a documented sufferer of depression until her tragic suicide in 1995.
