Me and my friend are looking to form a 5 piece metal band. We are mainly a form of Melodic Thrash metal and sound more like an updated 80's thrash metal band. We have originals, which are all fairly up tempo, but all have a great sense of purpose and meaning to them as well.
Even though we are younger than most, don't be fooled we can pull off some serious sh*t as well as composing.
Things we expect from the people coming for whatever instrument:
Bass: Able to keep up with good rhythms, good sense of timing, and full of energy. Must know a good portion of music theory especially arpeggios, scales, keys, bass phrasing,
Vocals: Able to Sing very well and melodic and well as some Early hetfield screams and/or falsettos also. Able to Get the rhythm of the lyrics and develop melodies over chords or over guitar passages. Have a good music theory background (scales, phrasing, vocal counterpoint melodies etc...) the more knowledge the better
Drums: be able to stay on time with complex rhythms, good sense of creativity and improvising, and having good double bass endurance.
Even though We have are going to have over 10 originals by the end of our current ideas, we still need YOU to help. We are very serious about gigging and playing live.
After all it is a Band and not a duo...right?

Influences
Our main influences come from a lot of 80's thrash (megadeth etc...) But we also take from lots of other elements of music and we both have music theory backgrounds. We take influences from, instrumental rock (steve vai,guthrie govan, Eric Johnson) and numerous amounts of other things which ends up being a pretty unique sound when all the parts come together.
