Austin Martin is a third-year classical percussionist at University of North Carolina school of the arts. He has been professionally studying music there for the past five years with John R. Beck. At only at 18 years old, Austin was accepted to Berklee College of music in Boston as well as their first year abroad program in Valencia Spain. Due to financial difficulties he never attended but has remained on a full ride at UNCSA. Austin typically plays classical music with chamber groups and professional ensembles, however he also is very into rock, alternative, metal, and pop drumming.

Austin has a Mapex Meridian three piece drum set with a wide array of cymbals, perfect for any type of genre.
In addition to that he has a wide set of world music percussion such as bongos, an authentic cajón handmade in Spain, an authentic djembe from the Ivory Coast, and a wide set of smaller auxiliary instruments.
