I play guitar for the band The Weathercocks. I've been in a variety of cover/original bands since 1982, ranging from punk/new wave to acoustic folk duets to classic rock. I'm an illustrator by trade and don't depend on music financially, but I'm excited by original music, and The Weathercocks originals are my prime focus. We recently lost our drummer, and are looking for a percussionist of reasonably advanced skill who is into the same influences that animate our originals: Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Police, Rush, Queen, Steely Dan. We have a full album in the can and another album's worth of songs due to be tracked soon, so we need someone willing to learn our material with inventiveness and commitment.
