Musicians to Form Reggae Band

I am looking for talented musicians to form a reggae band to play my original compositions and classic reggae covers. I am a singer/songwriter/producer with world-class original reggae music. Without bragging, I can truly say I am an excellent songwriter, powerful vocalist and innovative producer. I am only missing experienced, talented musicians to form a supporting band who will make the music shine as it does on my recordings.

I am not content with merely being a "local yokel". My goal is to be acknowledged as a great original reggae artist supported by one of the finest bands to come out of the U.S. to date. In other words, I'm not looking for musicians to "jam" with; I'm looking for musicians who want to be a part of something special. I prefer musicians with the "feel" of reggae music. I will, however, consider talented musicians who are committed and willing to put in the work to master the music.

You must be cooperative and in it for the long haul. I'm sure you know that it takes time, talent and commitment to master any genre of music. I need musicians who over-stand this and will not jump ship after a few months. Excellence always gets paid eventually.

I would like to start with a core of 4 musicians: bass, guitar, drums and keyboards. Ideally, I'd like the keyboardist to be able to play horn lines along with other duties so having and playing at least 2 keyboards during performances would be great. I need musicians who will be a part of a team and will give their all so that we all can shine.

I would prefer working with musicians who live in DC and Maryland (where I live), however, if you are in Virginia and don't mind the commute you are welcome.

No heavy drinkers.
No drug abusers.
No one without transportation.
No habitual lateness.
No "I just want to jam" types.
No one who can't see the artistic forest for the money trees.
No one who can't put their smart phone down during practice and rehearsals.
No one who can't see the need for practice, practice, practice before honor.
