I'm a composer who tends toward funk and/or avant-garde music. I like many different genres. I've written songs in the funk, blues, and jazz genres. At times, I incorporate some odd time signatures into my work (7/4, 5/4, 27/8, 11/8, etc.). I finally picked up an 8 track recorder and have been recording some of my songs by myself to provide samples of my work. In these recordings, I'm playing everything on either a bari or an alto sax as well as singing.

Members Of Band
I'm currently seeking horns (trumpet, trombone, saxes), keys, bass, guitar, drums, vocals for funk/soul/jazz/blues, etc. type music.
I have some PA equipment, and a friend of mine has recording equipment and has recorded demos before.
BN (My wife hates the actual title)
BN (My wife hates the actual title) Year: 2019
I wrote this song in 1997. The lead singer of the band I was performing in at the time named it Butter Nipples. Again, in this recording, I'm playing all parts on either my bari or my alto sax. This is a sample and is not the full song.
Droning Of The Rain
Droning Of The Rain Year: 2019 Genre: R&B
A nod to a variety of R&B artists of the 60s and 70s (mainly the 70s). All the horn parts and the bass line here are performed by me on either my alto sax or my bari sax. I also performed the vocals (both octaves)
Doin' It Genre: R&B
This is a song I used to perform with a band of mine. This record is just a drummer and bassist, as well as me playing 3 different horn parts I pulled out of thin air (the old band had three horns that would play chords I wrote...I had to replicate something like that on the fly, in one take for each part). No vocals are on this recording. I'll upload another copy with vocals.
A Locke of Your Hair
A Locke of Your Hair Year: 2019 Genre: R&B
I wrote this song for my wife when we were dating in 2004. In this recording, I'm playing the bari sax (for the bass line) and singing the vocals at two different octaves. I also am playing what I scored as piano chords on my alto at the beginning of the song.
Doin' It (Staggercat recording)
Doin' It (Staggercat recording) Year: 2002 Genre: R&B
This is a rendition of Doin' It recorded by Staggercat, my band at the time of the recording. I'm playing tenor sax and singing vocals.
