ABOUT

I've played guitar for about 13 years and until about 3 years ago I never actually played with a band. I play now for a church and that has been an amazing opportunity to play with others, work with sound dynamics and use some decent stage equipment. I'm looking to take my playing to the next level and find a rock or blues band.

I have played mainly rhythm but have done some lead work also. Most of my lead licks have been based off the major/minor, pentatonic major/minor scales.

When I get to play what I want, I enjoy looping over some 12 bar blues using various progressions and then I solo over them using runs from the pentatonic and blues scale.

Lately, I've felt that I've gotten pretty good at producing more of the music I aspire to play and that is mainly progressions in minor scales and combining a lot of natural, harmonic and dominant Phrygian scales.

I am definitely more of a guitar enthusiast-hobbyist. I'm other words, I don't think I can quit my day job yet. lol

I am reliable and dependable though.

Influences

I'm moved mainly by instrumental ballads. My influential artists are David Gilmour, Yngwie Malmsteem, Riverside and Andy Timmons.

My favorite styles are 70s, 80s, 90s rock/hair-bands, progressive metal, neo-classical and djent. I aspire to play symphonic-metal but I have a wide range of influences and music I enjoy playing.
