I really love all kinds of music, and I try to create and collaborate on arrangements that blend different styles and approaches. I hate that I can only choose 3 categories on this site; I would add Blues, Funk, R&B, Folk, and Fusegrass to my list. I'm very open-minded and willing to allow something musical to grow organically out of working with other musicians. That's the exciting part of playing music for me: the possibility of creating something interesting that no one has ever tried before.
I'm looking to put together a band with the goal of doing local gigs at first. I'm a songwriter and I have some great ideas for some collaboration. I'm looking for good musicians that are also very creative and enjoy playing. If you love any of the bands/artists below (or if not), let's talk about collaborating!

Chemistry"Chemistry" Only in the turning does its sound exist circuitous and circular is this it turns and we turn, your words like wisps of vapor from the windows of your mind enticing me with deep thoughts, rhetorical fires You say it with your mouth, but you tell me with your eyes and I get lost in both, but the entrance to the maze is your mind. These records are just the product of chemistry and honey that could be said about you and me The don't make music just for us... that's true, that's fair but in the moment, we're the only ones there, when we're together there's a reaction, and it always leaves me changed words between us like electrons and they're flowing with electricity because these records are made from chemistry these records are made... (For L.L.)
Counting"Counting" 11:12, thinking about a wish That I just made 13-14 Times tonight You have crossed my brain 15, 16 minutes 'til I can make that sweet wish again 17/18 might be the year My sunshine day dream begins 19 to 20 years from now What will I be? 21 to 22 things on my mind But all thoughts lead back to thee And I'm counting every moment That I spend with you Time is just a shadow On all I see And I'm counting every time You smile at me It slays and my heart Is its casualty. 11:12, thinking about a wish That I just made 13, 14 times tonight You have crossed my brain. (For L.L.)
B Our Own Tribe (Demo)
B Our Own Tribe (Demo)(Tweaked the mix during the interlude section) We lived by the lake that summer bathed in the deep and distant-bottomed water warmed ourselves by pine-limb fires felt the freedom of no desires I wrote my poems on limestone cliffs with chalk we stole from the store everyday the dew washed away the evidence ask the crows what the meter was (I don't remember anymore) We talked about our futures How we would live like indians forever, be our own tribe Be our own tribe You rolled a joint as the sun melted into the sea I played a song on my guitar so clumsily we breathed our hopes and sorrows to the sky knew we would always be our own tribe.

Heaven Is Nothing (Like This) DEMOMIX
Heaven Is Nothing (Like This) DEMOMIX(Remixed and Mastered 3/25/17) The rhythms of your voice are burned into my soul and everyday I hear them echo in my own. All the lies that you used to say Mindtricks that you used to play Well they mean nothing to me now except a story that I used to tell They mean nothing to me now except a scar that I used to wear Heaven is nothing Like this Full of words you want to hear and drunk on bliss Heaven is nothing Like this.
Sister Fate (Harmonica Outro)
Sister Fate (Harmonica Outro)Sister Fate (a tale of false prophecy) You find the life you thought you lived in shreds. And the tattered and the tangled threads weave the life you feel left with. You cursed the hands that tore the fabric of your fortune from the loom and the sisters tell you nothing not even fate can be assumed. You find the misery meant for all of us dealt out all incongruous. And then the tattered and the tangled threads weave the life you get to live. (this is the one you get to live) You held the hand that tore the fabric for your curtains in your room sewed your sister's ruffled window-sill point-of-view-tomb. And the seams have all been stitched into the blanket on my bed. The scenes of doom that it depicts- thoughts sewn deep down into my head... Sister Fate, can you help me see What it is you have woven into my destiny? Sister Fate, can you help me see what it is you have chosen to be my tapestry? And just because I refuse the needle, Don't mean I won't heal up someday. But I don't need your stitches 'cause I'll heal up in my own way, Sister Fate.
Tin SoldierWind me up and set me down I'll be your tin soldier, marching on, marching on But take care with me, I get dented easily. But you can do anything, anything you please with me. Wind me up and set me down I'll be your tin soldier, marching on, marching on And I'll fight for you, as much as a tin soldier can do And even if my metal takes a wound, I'll brave the fray with you 'til doom So wind me up and set me down I'll be your tin soldier, marching on, marching on
TerritoryI wasn't running. I wasn't empty. I was just tired of being down on my knees. Well, I was on down the road on my way from away from here. daylight dreaming. I was sleeping beneath your sycamore tree. Sticky is the air and the memory the road is moonlight 'neath my feet. I really don't want to think of you, (but you're intrusive that way). If the sun wants to rise, let her rise... I never left you, no, no, not like you left me dreaming dreams that extend into unwelcome territory.

"Ain't it a Shame" (Home Demo) at The house
"Ain't it a Shame" (Home Demo) at The houseWhen I wrote this song, I was thinking about Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Rekia Boyd... and all I could think about was how we say "Ain't it a Shame" but we do nothing...
