The Broken & The Blessed is hosting auditions for a talented female keyboardist/backup vocalist.
About the band:
We are a musical group that consists of four young men influenced by the love of Jesus on a mission to set out and utilize publicly the talents we are blessed with.
We are respectful, sincere, relatable, and understanding. We really want to stress that the comfortability of all the members of the team is fully considered.
When it comes to the music, we always try to consider diversity and originality while maintaining synergy. We have songs that are heavy, soft, slow, fast, simple, and busy, all which lyrically range from worship, relatable, and inspiring. We are a well-trained team of musicians with a lot of experience with writing, performing, and teaching. We have lots of original material!
As musicians, we love to perform and entertain. As Christians, we love to honor God. We tie these two aspects together to bring an inspirational experience to our audience while keeping it fun.
Requirements for the audition:
- Must be open to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must be able to create and demonstrate unique sections on keys in the songs we provide. Must be willing to perform a creative rhythm demonstrating overall skill. Must be willing to sing certain sections in the songs and perform harmonies. The audition materials will be sent via email.
- Must be willing to submit an availability sheet that we will supply electronically.
- Must be dedicated to making time for rehearsals, band meetings, etc.. We typically try to meet once per week.
- Must own a keyboard and microphone and be willing to transport them when necessary.
- Must be willing to travel in and around the Joliet area for gigs and rehearsals.
- Must be willing to meet with the band for lunch/dinner after the audition for a chance to get to know each other on a more personal level.
