New to the NYC area. Breaking in to the music scene, and in need of musicians - that's why I'm here. When not composing, I specialize in crossover/fusion music. My creative style is highly collaborative, fast paced, and intense, yet flexible - highly informed by improv/design schools of thought: ://dschool.stanford.edu/
My policy for collaborations is as follows: equal crediting on all published music videos, audio, or compositions/arrangements, as well as equal distribution of revenue generated thereby. All participating musicians in a gig get an equal portion of total event pay. Rule of thumb: equal distribution of everything.
From my website (matthewbillman):
"A diversified vocalist, Matthew Billman has been acclaimed nationwide as a classical crossover artist, musical theatre performer, and popular entertainer.
Matthew places his deep passion for musical eclecticism and the creative process at the forefront of his art – most recently, he completed a run of "Singed," a fully improvised three-act opera with the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program in Los Angeles. In January of 2016 he began work on a new album of musical mashups featuring student musicians from Stanford and beyond.
In the realm of contemporary musical theatre, Matthew recently took home the 2015 NATS National Championship title. Last year's roles include Che (Evita), Phantom (Phantom of the Opera), and Jean Valjean (Les Misérables)."
