Hey all, I guess to start...I am an intermediate rhythm guitarist(at least i consider myself that). I've played in a metal band for quite a few years that never seemed to lift off. I don't really have much live experience, but at this point I am looking to take that next step and better myself. I am in the process of forming a band. Me and a vocalist have been working together for a little while, and looking to expand these ideas with other like minded musicians.

Influences
Its not an easy thing to explain my musical influence, but here is what i think they would be:
lots of metal, though my passion has always been melodic death, and doomier stuff. Metal is my first love, death, thrash, black, doom, etc etc.. I listen to alot of other stuff to though. Alternative, Southern rock, hard rock, nu metal etc....
Below i named a few bands to give you an idea on where my influence lies...
amorphis, dark tranquillity, type o, moonspell, barren earth, swallow the sun, before the dawn, amon amarth, in flames, soilwork, dark age, borknager, dissection, tracedawn, lord belial, eluveitie, enslaved, iced earth, disbelief, graveworm,heaven shall burn, machinehead, etc etc...
other stuff - 36 crazyfists, ill nino, 40 below summer, disturbed, tool, deftones, godsmack, u.p.o, ffdp, well you get the point....
