I'm an Alto and tenor sax player who played professionally in college and for four years afterwards in the Northeast with a band called inner orchestra, a jazz funk group that was more jazz than funk and opened for bands like Soulive. Looking to play with a quartet or quintet with a good jazz drummer and bass player that can perform original and cover tunes that is danceable and groove rather than being too cerebral, in local venues and at small parties in the Piedmont triad. It would be fun to bring popular melodies in to the mix, and church soul music, and high country music, reworked. But happy to explore and see what unfolds. Background voice or lyrical rap artist with secondary instrumental talent would be cool too. A multiracial multi gender cross section of north south and west musical vibes ideal!
