I've been a hobbyist drummer since about 2005, and finally got more serious last fall and started taking weekly lessons at a drum school in the Denver/Boulder area. Have had a heavy jazz, afro-cuban, and swing influence from working with my drum instructor which has really fleshed out and strengthened my overall drumming style. Pretty big musical background as a kid - concert, orchestra, jazz band, etc. Like to find a casual group to jam/gig with once a week or so. I'm an RN in the Denver area and live in the foothills west of Golden so I can meet up pretty much anywhere along the Front Range and have a fairly flexible schedule to get together. I've sat in for a couple of sessions with The String Resistance (see their page here on BandMix) and played with The Electric Lola playing shows in the Colorado Front Range area for about ten months or so.
