ABOUT

I am primarily a drummer specializing in danceable grooves and layered rhythms. I started out as a progressive metal musician but have moved towards indie-rock/synth-pop/alternative/shoe-gaze for the challenge of developing memorable patterns within a 15 - 30 sec window which a lot of that type of music would even allow. I can play anything from chill/introspective to energetic/frenetic moods.

Throughout the past 7 years I've gained a love for electronic music and synthesizers in their many incarnations, so I always welcome those sounds. I've been slowly developing my own songwriting using synths and hope to add those song ideas to future collaborations.

Overall my preference is to either join or form a band operating out of Chicago and give it my full attention and support. I work best with musicians who have the same drive and love to write/rehearse/record/playout throughout the week.

I am open to either all original music or a mix of original and covers. However I would prefer not to join a cover band (well, maybe depending on selected covers).

I am generally available nights for weekdays but usually all day on the weekends (I'll make it happen).

I currently live in West Town and am willing to commute to rehearsal.
