I'm 37 years old and have been playing off and on since I was 16. My influences early on were heavy metal, mostly leaning towards Metallica than other bands in the genre during the early 90's.
As I've gotten older, I've mellowed out some and find my influences more towards the alternative rock genre. My heaviest influence would be The Smashing Pumpkins.
