I'm a multi-instrumentalist and I live in St. Paul. Looking to start some kind of band to accompany and expand on the songs I've written. I'm open to adding other people's ideas or lyrics into my songs, as long as they're good. I play guitar and sing but I'd be open to playing bass and possibly even letting someone else sing.
A lot of it is basically blues/southern rock or singer/songwriter oriented material, but I also try to incorporate big melodies people could sing along to. There's a little bit of a punk or indie rock attitude in it but I'm not really either.
I just want to play some music, have fun and maybe even weird a few people out. Just listen to a few of the songs (./memphisviamars.) Of course I have tons more if you're interested, I could send them to you.
I live in an apartment so I don't have a great practice space right now but if you're at all serious, I could line a place up for us to practice.
I am a little goofy. However, I don't do drugs (unless you count a little beer) or engage in violent or overtly antisocial behavior, so if that's what you're in to this project might not be your bag.
