Band to Join.

Hi - I'm a primarily a vocalist, but can also play rhythm guitar. Seeking to join a cover band that needs a lead singer. (Separately, I'm also a songwriter and would love to meet a co-writer. See below.) Live in Midtown Memphis.

I sang lead vocals for three regularly gigging Memphis rock/oldies cover bands (mostly the same guys) for 10 years and took a break a couple years ago.

Strong rock/blues chest voice, good falsetto. Good at mimicking the sound/feel of the originals. Love to harmonize, so I also enjoy singing background harmonies.

The video I posted (Blink-182's All the Small Things - me on the right) is from a few years ago at The Cove in Midtown. Also posted an audio cover of Kick Out the Jams by the MC5 and a Southern Rock medley (Georgia Satellites, Skynyrd, ZZ Top) recorded live at the Haystack on a phone. Have lots of other samples if interested.

I'm very reliable and show up to rehearsals always knowing my part.

I also write songs in various genres and would be really interested in meeting a co-writer. I've posted three samples of my originals: "Empty" is sort of White Stripe-ish. "Good to the Last Drop" is country pop. "Girls Without Phones" is power pop. The lyrics to the latter are dated, but the song was one of five runner-ups out of 26,000 entries in an international songwriting competition.
