Hi, all.
My name is Morgan, and I am a 24 year old hobbyist/beginner (but very passionate) guitarist with an eclectic taste in music, who favors psychedelia, blues, 90s alternative rock, funk, and jazz.
I've only been playing passionately for a year or so, and if being very honest still have work to do building my chops and self confidence and reigning it in for consistency, but am looking for people - possibly a drummer and bassist and vocalist, and/or others - who want to schedule collaborative jams and see where it might lead.
Among the songs I like playing - currently with backing tracks, until I meet some folks - are:
"Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix
"Ziggy Stardust" by David Bowie
"Cissy Strut" by The Meters
"Born Under a Bad Sign" by Albert King
and about 25+ others I at least have a basic handle on. I haven't had much experience collaborating with anyone or being on stage just yet, though I've played at a few open mic nights.
My other passions include computer science/web development, drawing, painting, and digital photography.
In any case, I currently don't drive, but would be willing and elated to jam with others at my current residence in Windsor.
I know this is an atypical scenario - wishing to jam with others and hone in on things in that manner, versus wishing to start a gigging band - but if anyone has the time and desire to jam on a wide array of tunes, just to see how it would work out, I'd be greatly appreciative.
