I began playing drums at the age of 9. I received 5 years of technical drum training with instructor Phil Stanger. Through the age of 16, I experienced jazz ensemble's, band and orchestra. I enjoy playing music that expresses my passion for rock, jazz, funk, as well as rhythm and blues. I am inspired by musicians such as Simon Phillips, Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro, Dave Weckl, Omar Hakeem, Chester Thompson and Carter Beauford.
