Guy in my mid-20s with a ton of music experience and am trying to form an original band in Nashville with people generally around my age. I'm a lead singer (and multi-instrumentalist) who is looking for a talented guitarist, bass player, and drummer to join the group. Vocal ability and an appreciation for harmony is a massive plus!
The music itself: Rock/Pop/Alternative that is accessible, yet extraordinary. I've thought about what this looks like, and am trying to draw from the facets laid out in the "INFLUENCES" section below. Take a look!

Songs I have up online aren't really what I want to be focusing on, so try not to let them get in the way. Always evolving, and what's new and exciting from me isn't out in the world yet, but it's getting there.

the FEEL of The 1975, the ECSTASY of U2, SENSIBILITY and MELODY of The Beatles, the BEAUTY of Coldplay, the THEATRICALITY of Queen, the EXCITEMENT of 30 Seconds to Mars, the CONNECTION of Bruce Springsteen, the GRANDEUR of the Killers, the SMOOTHNESS of John Mayer, the STRAIGHT ROCK of Oasis, the SWAGGER of Third Eye Blind, the CATCHINESS of Fall Out Boy, the ENERGY of Foo Fighters, the COMPLETENESS of The Replacements
And there are many, many more bands and types of music that I love and influence me. For example, folk/acoustic music is really important to me (and the list goes on and on). Everything from classical to punk rock - chances are I'm a fan, and it all creeps in.
In a perfect world, would be best described as a more rock version of Coldplay...or a less heavy/weird version of recent 30 Seconds to Mars

Brianna! (Demo)This is an "old" song that just doesn't seem to want to be forgotten. Written while still in college, I thought it had seen its day. However, it's been revived after it was requested to be featured in Michael Wolniakowski's Composers' Workshop on "Writing For The Voice", which took place in May 2017. A transcribed score of the song and this recording were showcased at the event. While the showcase mostly focused on more classical styles of singing, this song was chosen to add some pop and rock to the spectrum of genres. Thank you, Michael, for including the song! Prove 'Em Wrong
Prove 'Em WrongComposed and Performed by Michael Baron Recorded and Mastered at @TortiseMediaProductions by Rick Torres Produced by Michael Baron and Rick Torres This song was written in a style that's kind of a throwback to Britpop music like Oasis, one of my favorite bands. I realize it doesn't really fit with "today's tastes", but wanted to record it more for fun and to serve as a performance sample. Just so you know that I know. Expect some different-sounding stuff for future songs! The ending section is something I'm particularly proud of though - my favorite part of the song! Michael Baron on this track: Lead Vocals Backing Vocals Rhythm and Lead Guitars Bass Guitar Keyboards Drums Percussion Special thanks to Mike Crean for adding his voice to the harmony vocals on the choruses, and an epic yell going into the outro. A crazy-talented guy, forever bandmate, and good friend, check out his amazing album https://soundcloud.com/august-diericks (Track recommendation: Directions) For high quality, affordable recording in the Chicago area, I'd definitely recommend Tortoise Media Productions!
