SEEKING
Harmonica, Vocalist.ABOUT
I have been a drummer/percussionist for over 25 years and am looking for any paying cover/original gigs or studio sessions I can get. I have professional equipment, professional attitude, reliable transportation and a willingness to succeed in the music industry. I am looking to play with as many different artists/bands in as many different genres as I possibly can, as I am striving to become a full-time musician. I am well-versed in the styles of rock, blues, funk, soul, metal, jazz, country, pop, reggae and some world music (i.e. latin). I can sing backups and/or lead (on some things) while playing and can play with a click track/backing tracks live or in the studio. I like variety in all that I do and by doing different things it makes you a more well-rounded musician. I currently play in a Nu-Country original band (.forgottenbyfriday) and teach at my home studio Studio G Music Lessons in West Haven. So contact me asap and let's make your project/band really groove. I can be contacted at: mike.giammattei or 203-589-0243. Influences
My influences are all over the map, ranging from 70's disco and classic rock, to 80's new wave and hair metal, 90's alt-rock, to 00's pop and dance. I also have been influenced from anything I've ever heard of the radio/tv, to all the talented people I've had the chance to play with. My main drum influences include some of the greats (of course) such as: Kenny Aronoff (w/ John Mellencamp), Bill Gibson (w/ Huey Lewis & The News), Alex Van Halen, Pat Torpey (w/ Mr. Big), Wil Calhoun (w/ Living Colour), Chad Smith (w/ RHCP), Chris Layton (w/ Stevie Ray Vaughn), Steve Gorman (w/ The Black Crowes), Stewart Copeland (w/ The Police), Joey Kramer (w/ Aerosmith), Tico Torres (w/ Bon Jovi), Phil Rudd (w/ AC/DC), Matt Cameron (w/ Sound Garden), Eric Kretz (w/ STP), plus many more...

EQUIPMENT
I have 6 drum kits: 80's Pearl Export (Tribal Kit), Pearl World Series (Yin Yang/Far East Kit), Premier XPK (Crimson Death Kit), Pacific Chameleon (Mighty Mite Kit), Yamaha Oak Custom (Brown & Loud), Sonor Force 3000 (German Spice). I can assemble a large sized drum configuration or small sized drum configuration, as well as different sized cymbal assortment, depending on the type of gig/session being played. I also have a snare drum addiction and have old school metal drums from Ludwig/Slingerland to wood drums from Ludwig/Camco, to wood drums from Pearl and Tama, to signature metal drums from Pearl (Chad Smith) and Yamaha (Steve Gadd), to auxillary drums from Premier, Noble & Cooley, and DW.
I have an assortment of different types of cymbals as well, mostly using my Soultones since I'm endorsed thru them, but have old and new Zildjians, Paiste, Sabian, & Ufip.
Finally I have percussion from congas, bongos, shakers, tambourines, cow bells, and other oddities.

Off the cuff
Off the cuff Year: 2012 Genre: Other
This is an off the cuff drum solo idea I did at a buddy's house; no prior thought was put into it (so it is a little rough around the edges).
