I am a jazz pianist a la Bill Evans--Keith Jarrett. I am also a composer (BMI), of jazz vocals, instrumentals, and classical. Photos show myself, and also, fellow MJP composers, Rene Pineda-BMI; and Jack Fulks--ASCAP. I have won four competitions and finaled in three in composition. The most recent win came in July, 2013; it was The American Prize 2013, for music composition, chamber music division, for "Introspections”, Music For Two Classical Guitars.
I have been back in the woodshed since, because I have found little interest amongst musicians I need to form a jazz group—acoustic bass, drums, and saxophone.
I’ve been doing solo recordings in the meantime, and you can hear a number of these—amongst other things, such as vocal accompaniment and exposure of original songs.
My classical compositions are found on YouTube... write my name, then “Music For Piano”, or “The Molly Suite” or “Introspections”, and the works should appear.
