Hi, my names Mike but most people just call me Miggs. I'm looking to start a band with an original sound, a fusion of several genres, and I'm looking for a few skilled musicians.

I wrote for and managed my own band as a frontman/lead guitarist when I was a teenager, and played numerous gigs all over New Jersey both with a band and on my own, from house parties to main stage. These days I've just been writing and practicing a lot but it's time to get back out there.

Influences

Jimi Hendrix, Jack White (especially early White Stripes), Black Sabbath (and nearly every band connected to their members), Led Zeppelin, and Iron Maiden are top 5. I'm also a big fan of a lot of deep cuts music like Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, DEVO, the Leather Nun (look up Prime Mover if you don't know them), the Black Keys, a lot of old time Delta blues, and many others, influences which I try to pull from in songwriting.

EQUIPMENT

2 custom job electric guitars, one is a House of Blues rosewood 24 fret given to me by a close friend, the other a maple 22 stratocaster knock off that I rebuilt. I also have a bass and an acoustic-electric my grandfather gave me.

Amps include a Line 6 Spider II which I've had since the beginning, a small Vox travel amp, and a Behringer PA I used for vocals.

I also have a 20+ year old Yamaha keyboard and a dDrum electronic drumkit. I have some decent studio equipment but not the computer to back it up, unfortunately.
