*I'm currently seeking a replacement vocalist for my cover band. We've been together about three years, playing a mix of 70's through current Alternative/Pop Rock*
Hey! How you doing? My name's Mike, I've been playing Bass for roughly fifteen years now. I have knowledge of theory, and can read music (although still teaching myself to sight read on the bass). I'm not currently actively seeking another project, but should one come along that peeks my interest, I may have open ears. Genre isn't of too much importance so long as it's modern rock in someway, and preferably not "metal." Check my influences for the types of music I'm into, but I'm always willing to try something new.

In absolutely no particular order, and nowhere near a full list, but an inkling of my influences:
Brand New, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Green Day, Chili Peppers, Offspring, Ataris, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Savage Garden, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Modest Mouse, Pennywise, Rancid, MxPx, NoFX, Goldfinger, Prozzak, AFI, Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Bad Religion, Our Lady Peace, Cream, Beatles, 311, Sublime, Stones, Airbourne Toxic Event, Mumford and Sons, Death Cab, Thrice, Imagine Dragons.
The sound I am looking for is modern, maybe indie; but definitely post-punk influenced: Pop-punk, Indie, Emo are all fine genres for me, where Classic Rock, Hardcore and Metal may not be quite what I'm into. Basically: Radio-friendly without a repetitive drum-track, eh?
