ABOUT

Mike’s credentials as a guitar player are quite impressive. He has been a professional recording and performing artist for over 20 years. Along with playing in the typical school bands, Mike moved to Orlando, Florida in the mid nineties and was picked up by a local recording label and formed his band, Grin Cynic. Upon completion of their first studio album they headed out on tour headlining shows and supporting national acts. While on tour in NY, they stopped in for an appearance on the Howard Stern Radio Show. Howard and his staff enjoyed the music so much that they spun the Grin Cynic single on air during morning prime time drive and drove the bands fan base through the roof. Grin Cynic then headlined a show that same week at the legendary CBGB in NYC with the entire Stern crew and was filmed by E! News. Reruns of the episode still appear on TV to this day.

In 2002 Mike auditioned for award winning producer Tony Bongiovi to fill a guitar slot his artists label was looking to fill. After a variety of live and studio auditions, Mike was selected as the lead recording guitarist and co/producer for the upcoming project. Working alongside of Tony and Brazilian Gold Recording artist Derek Lopez, and producer Keith Rose (Jimmy Page, David Coverdale, Goo Goo Dolls, Gloria Estefan) Mike co-wrote the 11 song LP and recorded all the guitars. Following the release, Mike played several shows in support of the album. This album has been published under Universal Music.
