Bass Guitar: Rocking the house since 1965 has forged a bass guitarist with confidence and passion for his music. Mike has had the opportunity to perform in a vast variety of music arenas from performing live in small clubs, dances, local concerts and even stadiums and arenas opening for anumber of notable national acts. Mikes playing style is very solid, yet simple and uncluttered, A true “pocket” player, Forging an iron clad lowend to the rhythm section Mike’s house rocking, rafter shaking, roadhouse blues style of playing reflects the blues influence of many legendary blues artists like B.B. King, Freddie King, Slim Harpo, Canned Heat, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, just to name just a few and Blues /Rock heavy weights like ZZ Top, The Who, Cream, James Gang, SRV, Thorogood, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Led Zeppelin and so many other artists who’s music he has performed through the years. Mike’s playing has never wandered far from his love of the blues and power trio’s with a touch of southern and classic rock tastefully mixed in. Mike’s main instrument is a 1970 Gibson EB-3 bass And a Fender custom shop PJ style special edition bassAmpeg BA 210-2 for rehearsals and very small shows and a Fender Super Bassman amp with Fender Neo 810 cabinet for larger shows Mike is an avid Harley rider, old school bikerLoves Music, Motorcycles, Hunting, Camping, BBQ, any outdoors activity, Woodworking and spending time in his rehearsal room.
