Mostly interested in writing, recording and playing original music, very southern with bluegrass, Americana and country rock feel... Sort of a redneck Jack Johnson, smooth and simple. Ultimately, bluegrass instrumentation, without a banjo , and with cajon or trap set. Never opposed to electric instruments, any type of percussion from finger snaps to cardboard boxes , spoons or washboards, or banjos , if it makes it interesting. My writing always seems to reflect a biblical principal or story, not always because it's planned, it just does. I sing average to below average, play guitar OK, enough to get lead and rhythm ideas across, but am most at home on bass, upright or electric. Would like to collaborate with multi instrumentalists who have something to say through their music.

Influences
Everything... I started with bluegrass and country( formative member of Front Porch String Band in 70s), went to Americana and southern rock, to oldies rock and Western swing, to traditional jazz on upright bass, to whitesburg baptist church orchestra on upright, to contemporary Christian, which is what I play most today ( still playing bluegrass festivals and jamm sessions every chance I get). Jack Johnson, Chris Tomlin, Johnny Cash, dan hicks and the hot licks, reliant K, 5 iron Frenzy, Charlie Daniels, Ted Nugent, everything in between
