Lead/Rhythm guitarist looking to join a band...preferably an original band looking to be creative, though open to choice covers as well. I majored in music for two years where I studied classical and jazz theories, and have written music over the years. I'd generally like to be in a rock band, but one that can switch to, or meld other genres and willing to open up and improvise, but play tight for the foundation of a song. I personally thought it was a little silly that this site only allowed you to choose 4 genres that you're looking to play. As far as my musical interest...in addition to Blues, Jazz, Country, and Rock, I would also add Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Funk, Reggae, and Southern Rock to the list. Heck, I even dabbled in Metal and Progressive in the past.
I currently play in the Shane Murley Band in and around the Burlington, VT area. This is mostly a cover band, with a few originals thrown in. I'm looking to hopefully be more creative and of course rock!
