Hi, my name is Mike and I just turned 43. I've been playing guitar since I was 9 and still play everyday. As far as bands go, I like covering tunes but writing original's is my favorite thing to do, and play. I like improve jams but also like strict timing and structure (Like Tool songs).

Influences
My 2 favorite bands (for as long as I can remember) Led Zeppelin and the Grateful Dead. So my playing and soloing has a lots of major pentatonic scales. As far as bands still touring I would have to say Tool, and the Dave Matthews Band. I love 80's metal, but also love classic bluegrass and folk like Bob Dylan, I guess all real music influences me.

EQUIPMENT
My #1 guitar is a '91 Gibson LP studio that I put a 21 tone wiring harness in it, My favorite amp to use is probably my new Boss Katana, But for playing out I bust out the JCM800 head and cab. My #2 guitar is probably my 95 American Tele... I also modded the wiring to get 7 tones. (I own a guitar repair shop in Ipswich Mass. called Ipswich River Guitars, so I can also mod or repair any axe that needs it!
