Fellow Musicians, this is Jim Knoch, the old Louisiana Swamp boy, it is starting to look like this CoVid-19 social distancing lock-down is over and we can again start having rehearsals. Please consider coming to a rehearsal and jamming with us. Even if you do not consider yourself accomplished enough to be playing venues, it's OK ... nobody here will put you down and you'll gain a little experience playing with a band and maybe even learn a few new things about playing music ... (Heck, I'll even throw in some guitar or bass pointers, lagniappe!). Surely, you'll have a good time and gain some experience and music knowledge! We play Blues, Classic Rock, Country, Funk, R&B, Southern Rock, Swamp Pop, and Texas Swing. Sorry, but we don't play any Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, or Rap. If interested, just give me a call so we can talk to set it all up.. Thanks ..... Jim Knoch 985-863-3316

Millennium Country is currently looking for a few musicians and a larger location to regularly rehearse. I would like to rebuild the band with 4 ~ 7 pieces.

The intent of the band would be to gig predominantly on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Southeast Louisiana, also in Coastal and Southern Mississippi.

We would perform mostly cover songs and some of our own tunes, primarily for parties and special benefits, avoiding the lounge scene as much as possible ... I'm tired of dealing with the drunks & brawls.

I welcome any interested musician to contact me to set up a jam session / rehearsal, so if you're interested in playing a little music, give Jim (Swampy) a call at 985-863-3316 or send an email to jimknoch at hot mail . com [leave out the spaces] and we'll see if we can set up a convenient time and place. We normally rehearse early every Friday evening at Jimmy Singletary's house in Hickory, La. His piano is a tough one to move around.
