We're stepping out on faith in building this Bandmix profile, so bear with us a little. We have sung together for a little over ten years, having been married for eight of them. Music is what God used to bring us together, and we have known for some time that, ultimately, He would use these gifts He has given us to build a ministry together. So, again, we are building this profile to test the timing and see what doors are opened up to us.

A little about us musically...

Ashley is an incredibly talented soprano vocalist, having trained and competed musically all of her life -- from choir/ensemble work, to the lead vocal in a competitive (and championship) female acapella quartet, to studies and performances in musical theatre. Today, she works in the worship & arts department of a very musically progressive church, and she leads worship as a front-of-house vocalist and soloist. I have been a musician for more than three decades, and I can say in all honesty that she is among the greatest vocalists I have ever known...or heard. From broadway, to R&B, to country, to rock, this woman can not only sing it all -- she can master it all. But she is sold out to Christ and desires above all else to use her incredible, three-octave talent to lead others into His presence.

As for Nick (me), I've been singing in (and out of) church all my life. I cut my teeth singing harmonies with my mom on old-fashioned, Southern Gospel tunes, gone through my rock-n-roll garage band phases, been a music minister, and even held the first chair in the Memphis Symphony Chorus for a performance of Handel's Messiah. I play a little acoustic guitar and a little (less) piano, though my musical education was begun in marching band (trumpet). I presently sing lead for a Gospel group, but I consider it a past-time, hoping it will open doors for Ashley and I to build our ministry.

We're looking for a serious group of talented players to minister with us in leading worship at churches and events around Dallas and beyond. We aren't quite quitting our day jobs just yet, but our "yes" is on the table to God and what He calls us and prepares us to do. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do the good works that He has already prepared beforehand for us to do. And we are seeking like-minded believers who are willing to be willing, as we are.
