It has come down to this: I want to start a metal band to help purge my brain of craziness. I am looking for collaborators in southern California, preferably the San Diego (or even as far as Orange County / Riverside, I guess) area(s).
My vocal style is merely passionate. This can be clean vocals, yelled, screamed, growled, etc. It really depends on the driving emotion involved and the tone of the song / lyrics. I tend to get somewhat dark when writing lyrics, but not always.
I don't want to stick to one single vocal format. I want to mix it up, again, depending on the driving emotion / lyrical theme and sounds of the music.
I like mixed genres and wish to mix sub-genres of heavy metal in any project I do. Keep things interesting, you know?
I was in a band some ten years ago, but it was a bad time in my life. Now that I am in a better place in my life, I want to give it another go.

Pyle microphone, cable, small (15w) amp... it's all I can afford to buy right now, really, but I can afford to go to split rehearsal studio fees.
