Matthew Kloss is a freelance bassist whose work includes ""Postcard from Summerisle"" with percussionist Patrick Dawes of Groove Armada and Ritchie Havens Band, as well as appearing with Myrna Marcarian (of Human Switchboard fame) in both her electric and acoustic bands.
Mr. Kloss has also led, performed, and arranged the complete repertoire for the critically acclaimed jazz crossover group, “Callin’ the Dog.”
A chameleon of musicical idioms, Kloss' groove, sensibility, and style transcend his young age. From blues, rock, traditional styles, bluegrass, punk, jazz, classical, Kloss is in much demand as a sideman.
Kloss is often sought as a composer/arranger: From chamber works to jazz groups to TV ads. Mr. Kloss as been awarded numerous awards and grants for both composition and performance.
